2012 Theme: Women in Project Management

A Message From Naomi:

This year’s theme is “Women in Project Management”.  I’m honored to be this year’s chair  and I hope to raise the bar to recognize women practitioners in the profession of project managment around the globe.

Women have made their mark in the project management profession and have positively influenced the profession over the last two decades.  Today, women are leading projects worldwide as proven leaders, advocates for advancement of project management in their organizations, and are represented in many industries such as information technology, healthcare, aerospace, construction (bridges, buildings, highways) and as entrepreneurial consultants.

In our global economy, organizations are looking for project management experts, leaders of high performing teams and great communicators that can manage people, processes and projects; women have the soft skills to be top candidates for many of these great job opportunities.

As you explore this site, I will share articles, personal stories, and photos to recognize and acknowledge inspiring women leaders in action who are really making a difference in the profession and in our global economy.

Please join me in this celebration and recognition of women in project management.  Please contact me if you have a story you’d like to share.  You can contact me via Twitter or Linked In.
